چکیده
The administration of hydrophobic actives and drugs for medical or cosmetical purposes generally requires a formulation that ensures adequate water solubility, which can be achieved through the encapsulation in liposomes. For vehiculation (+)-usnic acid (UA), compound with antioxidant activity, we have prepared liposomes one-step process using compressed CO2. investigated formulations are mainly composed 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine cholesterol, but contain also small molar fraction (10%) synthetic surfactant derived from L-prolinol. In previous investigations containing L-prolinol derivatives showed higher efficacy as DNA drug delivery systems respect to mere phospholipids. As consequence, they were added make them more suitable UA systems. By testing different chain lengths headgroups, studied how chemical nature affects physicochemical vesicle properties their interaction UA. Most formulations, especially those surfactants longer alkyl chains (C14 C16), show good potentiality because exhibit stability, vesicle-to-vesicle homogeneity bilayer compaction analog by conventional thin film hydration previously investigated. Our results confirm advantages DELOS-SUSP case mixed phospholipids ionic surfactants. Moreover, this study demonstrates same lipids feature if according methodologies. addition, investigation points out solute included affected technique used preparation.

In this study, paclitaxel loaded poly( L-lactic acid) (PTX-PLLA) microparticles were prepared using solution enhanced dispersion by supercritical CO2(SEDS) technique. This supercritical antisolvent technique offers the advantage of negligible organic solvent residua in the drug loaded microparticles. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that microparticles exhibited rather spherical shape ...

The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the intestinal absorption and the antineoplastic effect of the poorly water-soluble drug celastrol when liposomes were used as oral drug delivery system. Liposomes were prepared by the ethanol-injection method. An optimized liposome formulation composed of phospholipid, cholesterol and Tween-80 resulted in favorable encapsulation efficiency at 98.0...
